Vietnam ITO Conference is a bi-annual event, which is organized by VNITO Alliance, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), Investment & Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) and partners, in order to promote the Vietnam IT industry, gather Vietnam software enterprises and create an effective bridge between the IT Vietnamese companies to the world. Vietnam ITO Conference assists buyers and service providers to network, cooperate and discuss trends, issues, and opportunities related to software services.
Vietnam ITO Conference 2019 with main theme “Vietnam - The Emerged Destination for Innovation” was held on 23-25 October in Ho Chi Minh City, to create a complete picture of Vietnam IT industry with various activities (Conference, Panel Discussion, Exhibition, Business Matching, Gala Dinner, Software Park Tour, etc.) to attract a lot of local and foreign participants. About 300 Vietnamese enterprises registered to attend. The event attracted more than 500 participants, with 150 multinational participants. There were also more than 200 meetings being held to promote trade between Vietnamese businesses and businesses from America, Korea, Japan…Prepared to attract more than 1000 interactions on the ground and congregate more than 100 Vietnam solutions providers in diverse fields such as: Fintech, Automotive, E-commerce, BPO, AgriTech, Innovations (AI/ML, Blockchain, Big Data, IOT), Digital Transformation, Top Talents, and with country-theme pavilions (Japan/ Korea/ Singapore), Vietnam ITO Conference 2019 set goals to create a platform for companies to introduce their products, services, and IT solutions including hardware, software, and not just outsourcing. This was where buyers and sellers around the world came and met, connected and explored business opportunities by theme or category. This year the event also showcases tech solutions “made in Vietnam” as well as the nation’s innovation capacity.
Mr. Tran Phuc Hong, Vice President of TMA represented the company to introduce TMA Innovation Center (TIC) and the technologies TIC has been developing. The topic TMA brought to the event was “Global Innovation from Vietnam”. Numerous Vietnam technology companies adopting innovation for higher value services. For many years, TMA has collaborated with universities on training new tech, which resulted in 300 AI, IoT, Big Data, Analytics, Blockchain engineers of TMA. We also established data science lab in central Vietnam, as well as learning from successful model and embracing global innovation best practices from Harvard/MIT, Silicon Valley, Australia, Europe, Israel, etc. The case studies TMA brought to VNITO included Health Information Systems Programme (HISP); World Mosquito Program (WMP); AI applied for Car Navigation, Machine Optimization and Detecting phone spam.
